A new role has become available for a Project Engineer to support the delivery of a number of exciting projects at Material Evolution. Working between engineering plans and on-site delivery, you will coordinate contractors, technical teams, and site activities to ensure work progresses safely, to scope, and on schedule. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role suited to someone who thrives in live industrial environments and takes ownership of complex, fast-moving projects. The role requires travel to travel between our UK sites. What You'll Be Doing: · Coordinate day-to-day site activities under the direction of the COO or Project Lead · Act as the an interface for technical queries from contractors and vendors, problem solving where necessary · Track progress against scope, schedule, budget and key milestones · Identify risks, constraints, and interdependencies early and escalate appropriately · Ensure construction and installation align with approved engineering designs and issued-for-construction documentation · Coordinate responses to technical queries, RFIs, and change requests · Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and technical decisions · Support commissioning planning, punch-list tracking, and readiness checks · Assist handover from contractors to operations, ensuring documentation and manuals are complete · Provide on-site coordination during early production ramp and troubleshooting · Ensure work is executed safely and in line with site systems and permit requirements · Support change-control processes and ensure no uncontrolled technical or scope changes occur Key Skills and Experience Required: Essential · Engineering degree or equivalent practical industrial experience · Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or plant-based capital projects · Strong organisational and coordination skills in live site environments · Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation · Clear, structured communication skills across a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders · Proactive approach to risk identification and issue escalation · Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-moving, operational environment · Able to demonstrate compliance with CDM and other site safety requirements Desirable · Experience in plant commissioning projects · Familiarity with contractor management and on-site supervision · Experience within heavy industry, manufacturing, construction, or process environments · Working knowledge of change-control, HAZOP, or industrial safety systems At Material Evolution, we provide everything you need to perform at your best.
