JOB DESCRIPTION

My client require a Project Engineer to assist in project planning and to establish criteria by which project success will be measured. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing project criteria, coordinating the review of project designs, and ensuring the implementation and completion of project elements for both new projects and existing equipment onsite.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with other departments to scope out prospective projects and agree on timings
· Exceptional time and people management skills practical problem solving and solutions implementation
· The ability to prioritise and organise projects to ensure they meet deadlines
· Capable of identifying problems, taking the lead on developing solutions and ensuring solutions are implemented
· Computer literacy to a high level
· A degree of flexibility towards working hours in line with business requirements

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

· Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams when required.
· Technical fault-finding.
· Coordinate installation and commissioning activities for new and existing equipment.
· Improve and develop engineering practices.
· Prepare and execute project plans for new installations.
· Assist the maintenance department as required.
· Experience
·Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
· Good knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and quality standard
· Experience in managing a team
· Experience in staff training
· Skills & Qualifications
· A degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) - HND/HNC educated candidates will also be considered with relevant experience.
· Mechanical engineering design experience.
· Proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
· Previous experience within a fast-moving manufacturing plant.
· Previous experience of coordinating installations of new equipment in a fully functioning factory environment.
