This role involves overseeing the design, development, and execution of biomass boiler heating projects, specifically under the SEAI’s Support Scheme for Renewable Heat (SSRH). The position requires a blend of technical design expertise, project management skills, and a strong understanding of compliance to help businesses transition to renewable energy solutions. The engineer will manage the internal SSRH team, drive project progress, and collaborate with clients to ensure projects meet goals, timelines, and budget constraints, while adhering to SEAI and SSRH guidelines.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
• Project Management qualification desirable.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Proficiency in CAD/Revit and simulation tools.
• Ability to calculate system requirements, including pump, heat exchangers, boiler, buffer, and pipe sizing.
• Knowledge of hot water heating systems, fuel types, and thermal processes. Familiarity with biomass boiler systems heating is desirable.
• Familiarity with SEAI’s SSRH guidelines is desirable.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years in Project Management and Design of hot water heating systems projects, or similar systems.
• Experience with renewable energy systems and biomass systems is a plus.

SOFT SKILLS:

• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
