CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER – NATURAL GAS POWER GENERATION

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (On-site with some office work)
Duration: 18+ Months | Contract
We are seeking a Construction Project Engineer to provide technical and logistical support for a large-scale natural gas power generation project. While this position will not perform detailed engineering design, it will play a key role in managing the engineering process, coordinating procurement, and supporting the project manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5–8+ years of project engineering experience on large industrial or power generation projects.
• Experience with natural gas power generation strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple disciplines.
• Familiarity with construction workflows, procurement processes, and contractor coordination.
• Proficiency with project documentation and reporting tools.

• Serve as the liaison between engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Track engineering deliverables and ensure timely reviews, approvals, and submittals.
• Coordinate the procurement of equipment and materials, ensuring delivery aligns with construction needs.
• Review engineering documents for compliance with project requirements and facilitate resolution of technical issues.
• Support the project manager in monitoring progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
