Our Civil business is a division of the Business specialising in Infrastructure Construction, based around Reinforced Concrete. We are currently delivering work ranging from Bridges and Wharves to Water Treatment Plants and Storage Tanks and Pipelines. The Precast Project Engineer is responsible for manufacturing operations & financial management. You will provide leadership and guidance to ensure effective, efficient and profitable management of the Precast division. You will be responsible for delivering work for our customers safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard. Our values will drive everything you do. Through effective management you will ensure that the branch is delivering quality work for our clients and your people are doing good work every day. In addition to the above you will: Manage the teams and sub-contractors within your area and coordinate with other teams to ensure optimisation of resources and efficiency Management & monitoring expenses and revenues to ensure profitability Manage and direct contract administration, understanding contractual requirements and expectations Work closely with manufacturing staff and set performance expectations to ensure staff are utilized to their full potential and productivity is maximised Manage associated plant and maintenance thereof. We’re looking for someone with: Minimum of five years’ experience in a management role (beneficial if this is industry experience) Experience managing and developing teams Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong financial and commercial acumen Proficient in using CCS Candy for Planning & Estimating Minimum 5 years operational experience (preferably within precast or construction industry) Degree or equivalent suitable qualification Engineering qualification, NZCE minimum Current class 1 licence Creating, Connecting and caring for the community Our people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
