Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Transmission team lead a safe, reliable, affordable and sustainable regulated network today and into the future, fulfilling customer, community and stakeholder needs and expectations.
This role will see you developing front-end engineering solutions for substations and lines projects across the Projects portfolio. You will work with internal stakeholders, and Design and Construction Delivery Partners to ensure projects are delivered in a cost-efficient way and to high standards of quality.
With a hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank, Melbourne and is part of the Engineering and Technical Solutions - Transmission Project Development Team

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Mitigate technical risks and solve design challenges through robust engineering solutions
  • Ensure project compliance with customer requirements and AusNet technical standards
  • Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, standards, and methods
  • Deliver technical expertise from scoping through design, constructability, and safety reviews
  • Collaborate with internal teams, AEMO, DBs, and delivery partners to ensure quality outcomes
  • Contribute to project success through estimating, scheduling, and strategic input
  • Promote safety, compliance, and innovation while fostering a culture of care and curiosity
