Description

Responsible for achieving and maintaining regional product certifications and facility listings, serving as the primary technical liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and support product approval initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of applicable product standards and agency testing procedures
  • Experience with product marking requirements
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Engineering background or Victaulic product knowledge a plus

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience working with certification agencies such as UL, FM, DVGW, CCCF, or similar
  • Participation in standards committees and familiarity with global/regional codes and standards
  • Knowledge of financial metrics related to cost of compliance and budgeting
Responsibilities
  • Secure and maintain product listings, approvals, and facility certifications for existing and new products
  • Establish, monitor, and manage product approval projects to meet deadlines
  • Serve as technical representative and primary contact with national and local regulatory agencies
  • Develop and maintain cost-of-compliance metrics, budgets, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance to Technology Managers, Project Engineers, and Product Managers on standards and testing
  • Participate in and prepare for regulatory agency audits and follow-up actions
  • Oversee factory production audits and address technical questions
  • Represent the company on standards committees to influence code and standard development
  • Execute additional related projects as assigned by leadership
