Job Description At Brainlab Robotics, we are shaping the future of surgery by developing innovative robotic solutions, bridging the barrier between the digital and physical space in the operating room. Our cross functional team brings together experts from all areas of engineering: from SW (using C++ and RUST), electronics, mechanics to medical and usability experts. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Project Engineer for our product development. In this role, you will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from early concept creation and technical implementation to clinical assessment of product performance. Your contribution has an impact on daily work in hospitals around the world. As a Project Engineer Robotics, your responsibilities will be to Accompany and shape the development of surgical robots from first design input to verification and release Develop technical concepts together with interdisciplinary team (Electronics, Mechanics and Software) Create complete technical documentation according to international standards and company processes Plan, perform and/or coordinate functional tests of medical devices Be the interface between development team and project management: support project decisions in technical and organizational topics Communicate with suppliers, development partners, manufacturers and other internal teams (QM, QA, Usability, Purchasing, Legal, Production, Support) Take own area of responsibility within the project (e.g. Certification, Risk Management, Requirements Engineering,) Qualifications The ideal Project Engineer for Brainlab is open, eager, loves to learn, and enjoys collaborating with others. You approach challenges proactively and bring a strong interest in clinical topics, with the motivation to deepen your knowledge. Besides that, you should also have: University degree in (medical) engineering, physics, computer science or comparable field Experience with technical documentation and standards (e.g. IEC 60601-1, ISO 13485, IEC62304) for medical devices Worked in interdisciplinary teams Knowledge in clinician and/or medical topics regarding spinal and cranial procedures Experience with technical documentation for medical devices Fluent written and spoken English, German is a plus Well-structured, organized working style with high documentation standards High documentation quality standards Strong communication skills What sets you apart: You enjoy taking responsibility at the interface of technical and clinical challenges You take ownership and drive topics to closure You are eager to be part of an interdisciplinary team where your talent can grow We are also glad to interview engaged Project Engineers with less experience who want to develop themselves in a successful and international company.
