SUMMARY

The Project Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing and managing engineering projects across various locations, including our repair shop in Coteau-du-Lac and our manufacturing facility in Hamilton. This position requires a strong mechanical engineering background, proficiency in reading technical drawings, and strong project management skills.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field preferred; relevant experience and certifications considered.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge or prior experience in the railway industry is an asset.
  • Proficiency in CAD/SolidWorks design platforms.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and French.
  • Ability to convey technical product information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering schematics, drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, internally and externally.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization abilities.

Avec le bureau chef basée à Coteau-du-Lac, Québec (ouest de Montréal), Ronsco Inc. est l’un des principaux fabricants et distributeurs de produits pour wagons et locomotives. Elle exploite le plus grand atelier de roues indépendant au Canada (Hamilton, Ontario) ainsi que fournir des services de réparation de wagons et de locomotives.
L’ingénieur de projet jouera un rôle essentiel dans la supervision et la gestion de projets d’ingénierie à divers endroits, y compris notre atelier de réparation à Coteau-du-Lac et notre usine de fabrication à Hamilton. Ce poste exige une solide formation en génie mécanique, une maîtrise de la lecture de dessins techniques et de solides compétences en gestion de projet.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalauréat dans un domaine technique ou d’ingénierie de préférence; expérience et certifications pertinentes prises en compte.
  • Expérience en gestion de projet.
  • Des connaissances ou une expérience antérieure dans l’industrie ferroviaire sont un atout.
  • Maîtrise des plateformes de conception CAO/SolidWorks.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale en anglais et en français.
  • Capacité de transmettre de l’information technique sur les produits à divers publics.
  • Maîtrise de la lecture et de l’interprétation de schémas, de dessins, de spécifications et de normes techniques.
  • Solides compétences en matière d’établissement de relations, à l’interne et à l’externe.
  • Capacité efficace de gestion du temps et de priorisation des tâches.
