Project Engineer (Senior, Lead or Principal) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a Project Engineer (Senior, Lead, or Principal) embedded within the Mission Systems Integrated Product Team on a DOD propriety to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. The successful candidate will drive and oversee a diverse team responsible for decomposing technical information and executing a plan to assess system design and performance capabilities per mission objectives. The person selected for this position could serve as a cost account manager (CAM), technical lead engineer, and/or a senior scientist/engineer for system architect development. Position Responsibilities: Leads a team comprised of various engineering disciplines (electrical optical, mechanical and systems), which may include internal and external resources and customers. Implements design best practices and processes based on system architecture requirements. Develops tests SOWs to validate system architecture requirements. Works with suppliers and partners to ensure compliance to requirements. Coordinates with customer to define key requirements and project objectives. Supports project management by providing coordinating development of work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and conducting appropriate reviews. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement Experience in all stages of development including systems engineering, system & subsystems design and development, system integration, modeling and simulation, and test/verification Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 20+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Active Top Secret clearance Masters Degree in Optics, Controls, or Electrical Engineering Experience with advanced optical systems requirements decomposition and/or product design, testing and integration.
