National Division Shimmick’s National Division operates throughout the central and eastern U.S. Comprised of legacy companies, such as Morrison Knudsen, Washington Group, and others, this division has decades-long history of delivering successful transportation, transit, mining infrastructure, and water resources projects. In addition to state DOTs and transit agencies, the National Division has delivered more than $5 billion in work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, primarily in the water resources (dams, reservoirs, locks, levees) sector. The National Division is delivering Oklahoma Turnpike Authority’s first build-finance project, the $260 million Gilcrease Expressway project in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist in managing day-to-day project activities and field operations. Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance. Prepare and track RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews. Support cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance efforts. Ensure safety and environmental compliance on-site. Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 6 years of heavy civil construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in heavy civil construction projects (rail/transit, water/wastewater, bridges, etc.) in Texas. Additional Information: Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. The salary range for this position is between $115,000 - $140,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
