Overview The Project Engineer supports the successful planning and execution of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other civil works. The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to project schedules and budgets. Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department. Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments. Plan and develop engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches. Maintain liaison with units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization. Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 8 years of heavy civil construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications: Heavy civil project experience in the Pacific Northwest. Additional Information: Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. The salary range for this position is between $135,000-$165,000 per year depending on experience and/or education. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
