Job Purpose Coordinate on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives. Successfully participate in the project delivery process by assisting the project team in the completion of work in accordance with the project operating manual and client’s expectations of time, cost, safety and environmental objectives, maintaining and updating the team’s AWP construction schedule and managing site subcontractors and suppliers to complete projects. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications for the 3MWP Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports Monitor construction progress for adherence to program and report to the Senior Project Engineer Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects Contribute to improvements to existing designs and manage signal design projects Arrange and oversee the letting of tenders and overall procurement process Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions including end of month reporting Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes Utilise effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time management Contribute to new business, continuous improvement and broader business activities Ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Signalling infrastructure. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent Diploma of Project Management in Engineering, Science, Building, Construction or equivalent Chartered Engineering Status Minimum 5-10 years’ engineering experience Experience on > $10 M Projects Project Engineer and operational experience Diversity We embrace diversity in all its forms—backgrounds, ideas, work styles, and perspectives.
