  • 4+ years of Project Engineering experience in the Water, utilities, or transport spaces is highly desirable.
  • Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with people at all levels, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Strong in using Microsoft Office software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and D&A

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Engineer, to play a key role in the successful delivery of major water infrastructure projects across South Australia, including pipe installation and water treatment facilities. This position will focus on applying strong engineering principles to support project execution while promoting a collaborative, high-performance environment.
In addition to working with a skilled and efficient team, the selected candidate will have continuous project exposure, facilitating the further development of technical and project management skills. The candidate will also have the opportunity to get exposure to tender bids and submissions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure cost-effective construction methodologies and identify improvement areas.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and teams to resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
  • Prepare variations, claims, and subcontract agreements.
  • Plan procurement activities, organise labour and equipment for supervisors.
  • Develop ITPs/ITCs, monitor quality plans, and ensure compliance.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through pre-starts and toolbox talks.
  • Review CEMP and environmental procedures before work begins.
  • Maintain QA documentation, manage project closeout, and finalize defect claims.
