PROJECT ENGINEER

SRG Global Asset Remediation specialise in extending the life of critical infrastructure through expert remediation, strengthening, maintenance, and restoration. Our work plays a vital role in preserving built assets across sectors including transport, marine, energy, and industrial. With proven expertise in structural repairs, corrosion mitigation, and cathodic protection, we deliver tailored solutions that restore integrity and performance to aging infrastructure.
We are currently seeking a motivated Project Engineer – Asset Remediation to join our team in South Australia, supporting a pipeline of secured and upcoming projects across the region.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you’ll work closely with the supervisor and site team, contributing to the successful planning and delivery of structural remediation and upgrade works.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare project-specific documentation, including technical, safety, environmental, and quality (QSE) deliverables such as method statements, MDRs, plans, and other required documentation.
  • Provide technical advice and support to the project delivery team, ensuring that project objectives are achieved. Assist in monitoring project performance, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct proactive inspections of project activities to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and QSE standards/best practices.
  • Offer technical advice to industrial or managerial personnel regarding design, construction, program modifications, or structural repairs.
  • Assist the Project Manager in directing construction, operations, or maintenance activities at the project site.
  • Guide and actively participate in surveying to establish reference points, grades, or elevations for construction purposes.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to assess quantities, costs of materials, equipment, and labor, determining project feasibility.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical/geologic data.
  • Identify and resolve problems using appropriate processes such as Technical Queries (TQs) or Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Seek innovative, alternative, and efficient constructability options whenever possible.
  • Foster a positive teamwork environment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations at all times.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and take steps to improve any shortcomings identified.
  • Oversee designated construction, operations, or maintenance activities as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accessible project documents and associated registers for the project delivery team.
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders by coordinating internal process documentation, quantity surveying, or preparing bid components, as required.
  • Maintain project controls as directed by the Project Manager, including the management and coordination of QAQC testing activities to ensure specification compliance.
