QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate should have:

  • Previous Project engineering/management experience, ideally in a similar role
  • Experience building & maintaining relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Familiarity with the FMCG, freezers or Automation sector
  • A methodical approach to problem solving and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines and a commitment to quality in all areas of the role
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Proactive approach and ability to manage competing priorities and demands on resources
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all areas of the role
  • Strong time management skills and motivation – ability to work using own initiative

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong technical bias. Working as part of our Projects Team, you will responsible for supporting Project Design Engineers with all new and on-going projects on a day-to-day basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The key duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support overall project objectives for quality, delivery and cost
  • Coordination and financial control of projects
  • Work with wider Projects team in resolution of customer queries to maintain positive relationships
  • Manage & resolve key project risks & issues
  • Ensure prompt response to queries, escalating as appropriate within the business
  • Identify scope for improvement opportunities
  • Prompt identification and resolution of deviations from plan and effective reporting to wider Projects team, highlighting any issues to Head of Projects
  • Work as part of a team to support other departments company-wide
  • Provide timely communication to customers and suppliers on technical issues
  • Submit engineering documentation in line with standard procedures
  • Ensure best practice and compliance with health, safety and quality standards
