Description Martin/Martin is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with project management experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and conducting work requiring sound judgment in evaluation, selection, and implementation of standard structural engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. This person will devise proven and, if necessary, innovative approaches to problems, and they will manage and design projects through design and completion of construction. This person will also represent the company in project meetings as well as develop rapport with and confidence in clients through effective communication and high-quality engineering work. The Team Our structural engineering teams provide custom solutions for new constructions and expansions, with a strong record in notable projects like Coors Field, Denver International Airport and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Responsibilities Coordinates our work with in-house teams and other firm’s project teams Develops, monitors, and manages work plans, schedules, and design budgets Keeps clients satisfied and developing a skillset to address client management problems Opens projects, establishes budgets, and submits information to accounting team. Follows project close out process Manages engineers and CAD/BIM technicians to complete projects Manages small to medium projects or portions of large projects Serves as the primary point-of-contact with clients and contractors Participates in production and technical committees or other special projects to advance the company’s goals Other duties as assigned Requirements Required Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum Completed a minimum of 12 months as a Professional Engineer 6 years of progressive engineering experience (a Master's degree in civil engineering, architecture, or applied engineering is considered 1-year of equivalent experience. Passing the 16-hour NCEES structural engineering exam also counts as 1 year of equivalent experience.) Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Ability to work in the Denver area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function. Demonstrates ability to be in responsible charge of projects Desired 2 years' experience as a Professional Engineer. Passed the 16-hour structural engineering exam Successfully managed multiple projects and followed them from start of design to completion of construction Effective at communicating and working with clients, jurisdictions, and colleagues Shows strong commitment to continued professional development Participating member of at least one professional and/or technical society Demonstrates willingness to take on additional work and responsibility Working Conditions, Skills, and Abilities This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required: Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites Remain stationary for long periods of time Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder Identify color Read, communicate, and document in English Determine and exchange accurate information Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Compensation The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Base Salary: For individuals hired in Colorado, a reasonable estimate of the current range for this role is $96,000 to $110,000 annually. Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin’s annual base salary increase review process. Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program. Base salary review and increases, in addition to annual bonuses, are dependent on various factors, including a hired individual’s job-level and annual company performance.
