Job Details Job Location: Newark Office - Newark, DE Salary Range: Undisclosed Description Summary Wallace Montgomery is Transportation Project Engineer to work in our growing Newark, Delaware office. Our engineers will be exposed to a variety of project types providing opportunities for personal and professional growth. Essential Functions: Perform studies, assessments, evaluations, and designs applicable to their specific field of expertise. Participate in and review the development of engineering design, details, specifications, contract drawings and estimates. Develop and check design calculations. Develop and check earthwork and other quantities and cost estimates. Determine the appropriate application of technical methods and verify compliance with design criteria. Monitor current design trends/methodologies related to their area of expertise. Perform field work as team member for inspections, locating utilities, identifying various topographic items, etc. Research SHA and County Records, such as for plats, deeds, records, etc. Participate in presentations such as public meetings. Assist in training of new employees in use of CADD or other relevant software. Interact and coordinate with clients on a limited basis. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications PTOE License Professional Engineering License DOT Experience (DelDOT) Bachelor's or Masters of Science in Civil Engineering Degree required with an emphasis on Traffic/Transportation Experience with traffic operations models including HCS, SYnchro/Sim Traffic, SIDRA, and VISSIM Experience in the design of traffic control, traffic signals, signing, pavement markings, ITS devices, and lighting
Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will perform studies, assessments, evaluations, and designs in their field of expertise. They will also participate in the development of engineering designs, specifications, and contract drawings.
