Job Description About the Project The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant is a critical infrastructure project designed to secure Western Australia’s water future. It involves complex tunnelling works and cutting-edge engineering solutions to deliver sustainable outcomes for the community. This project prioritises safety, innovation, and environmental responsibility while meeting strict timelines and quality standards. About the Opportunity As a Project Engineer – Tunnel, you will coordinate and control tunnel engineering works across technical, scheduling, procurement, and quality activities. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will ensure safe, efficient delivery within budget and program requirements. This role offers exposure to advanced construction methods and digital engineering systems on one of WA’s most significant water projects. Key Accountabilities Conduct weekly safety and environmental inspections Prepare work packages and manage procurement Develop construction method statements and workpacks Analyse schedules and track progress against milestones Monitor QA processes and subcontractor documentation Apply digital engineering tools for planning and design Maintain cost control and forecasting systems Required Skills and Competencies Capability & Experience Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline Proven experience in tunnel or major infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of construction methods and QA processes Proficiency in scheduling and digital engineering tools Excellent stakeholder and subcontractor management skills ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
