PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC contractor, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Steam Turbine Generator (STG) Project Engineer (PE) reports to the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) and will assist in providing direction to engineers and coordinating between disciplines, other functions, customers, and subcontractors. This PE position will specifically focus on the Turbine Island Equipment scope (turbine, generator, condenser, feedwater heaters, deaerator, condenser air removal package, and condenser tube cleaning package), and will be responsible for managing related Customer and Supplier coordination as well as scope control. The position also resolves challenges and roadblocks internally as well as externally to engineering to maintain project schedule and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate will have solid technical and management experience in the activities listed above, and focused experience in Turbine Island Equipment design and procurement, delivering scope on schedule and budget on a complex project.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-SNH
