UGL are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team on an ongoing basis supporting a major onshore & offshore gas project. This role will see you play a critical role in the planning, execution, and delivery of complex Oil & Gas projects. Commencing: ASAP Location: Perth WA, or Darwin NT Duration: 6 months with possible extension to 12 months. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver detailed project plans, scope, and execution readiness following strict timelines and milestones. Compile accurate cost estimations for labour, materials, subcontracts, and equipment. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution. Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Prepare and present project reports, documentation, and progress updates to senior management. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. About you: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical) Minimum of 5 years of Project Engineering experience, within the Oil & Gas industry. Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget. Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools. High level proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Excel including complex data manipulation and analysis. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
