Are you in the early stages of your career? We are now looking for a Project Engineer to join our team!
Valmet Automation Systems is looking for a Project Engineer to serve and support global automation system deliveries in System & HW –team in Global Engineering -organization.
In this position your main responsibilities are defining and designing DNA automation systems, networks and automation cabinet structures and components. Your other duties also include the development of our system engineering tools and processes. You also might supervise the installations at customer site and support system startups during commissioning.
You work in co-operation with other Valmet business units and functions to provide the utmost quality in a lean way.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree from a related field (e.g. automation, information technology, electrical or mechanical engineering) gives you the needed basis to succeed in this position. Your education has provided you with a basic understanding of automation systems, electrical engineering and IP networks.
  • In this role occasional travelling as a part of a project team to supervise installations and commissioning of DNA systems is required. Due to our global environment, fluency in both Finnish and English is mandatory.
  • To be successful in this position you should be able to work independently, efficiently and respecting high quality standards.
  • Capability to work under pressure and keen desire to develop own competencies.

In addition we value

  • Understanding automation industry standards and requirements (e.g. ATEX and machinery directive etc.)
  • Experience in Valmet DNA system and fieldbuses.
  • Skills working with various IT tools and systems, especially MS Visio (DNA Network Designer)
  • Ability to thrive in a versatile project environment
