Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing complex engineering projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion.

  • Lead and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure project objectives are met
  • Conduct detailed analysis of project requirements and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges
  • Oversee the preparation of technical specifications, drawings, and other project documentation
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress and maintain quality control
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development
  • Prepare and present comprehensive project reports to senior management and clients
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in project delivery

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience in cost control, risk management, and quality assurance
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including familiarity with local building codes in Abu Dhabi
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience mentoring junior staff
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Innovative thinking and ability to propose creative solutions to project challenges
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software
  • Experience with sustainable engineering practices
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
