Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing complex engineering projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion.
- Lead and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and stakeholders, to ensure project objectives are met
- Conduct detailed analysis of project requirements and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges
- Oversee the preparation of technical specifications, drawings, and other project documentation
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress and maintain quality control
- Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional development
- Prepare and present comprehensive project reports to senior management and clients
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in project delivery
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience in cost control, risk management, and quality assurance
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including familiarity with local building codes in Abu Dhabi
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience mentoring junior staff
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Innovative thinking and ability to propose creative solutions to project challenges
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software
- Experience with sustainable engineering practices
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
