Description Position Summary Employees in this job complete a variety of professional engineering assignments. The duties of a water resource project engineer will vary between positions, but generally, a water resource engineer works on designing pump systems, water and wastewater treatment plants, and pipelines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Complete studies, reports, and investigations of water, wastewater, and drainage issues based upon needs and desires of clients Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects Develop plans, specifications, and probable opinion of construction cost estimates for water and wastewater projects Complete design calculation utilizing spreadsheets and computer-based design software Complete computer modeling for water distribution, wastewater collection and drainage systems Prepare permit applications relative to water and wastewater facilities. Remain updated on current professional practices and maintain a high awareness of new products and procedures in industry by monitoring trade publications and actively participating in professional associations Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants and provide technical support Requirements Education and/or Experience 0-4 Years of Experience Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering. Include GPA in Education & Certification. EIT Preferred. If candidate has not obtained EIT, indicate expected date for attaining EIT Sufficient experience and proper competency to serve project engineering client needs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organization and time management skills We’re an equal opportunity employer.
