About Us   Fortescue is both a proud West Australian company and a global green solutions business. We are recognised for our culture, innovation and industry-leading development of infrastructure, mining assets and green energy initiatives.    Our Opportunity   Work Location: Pilbara – Bonney Downs Wind Farm     Roster: 2 weeks on & 1 week off FIFO ex Perth     Fortescue’s decarbonisation programme requires the rapid deployment of large-scale renewables generation prior to our industry leading 2030 real zero emissions targets. A critical component of this is the development of giga-watt scale wind farms in the Pilbara.     Reporting to the Wind Installation Package Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the project engineering aspects of wind turbine installation and equipment, from initial planning through to construction and commissioning. This role requires a solid understanding of engineering principles, project/ package management experience, and a passion for renewable energy and new installation technology.  Key Responsibilities   Support supplier prequalification, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations in alignment with project schedules and budgets Assist in management of the technical and commercial procurement of wind turbine installation equipment (self-erecting system and installation crane) from tender through to installation Assist in management of the technical and commercial tendering of wind turbine installation contracts from tender through to installation Coordinate with engineering, quality, project, supplier and contractor teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements Monitor and report on manufacturing and installation progress, quality assurance, and delivery milestones Support the development and coordination of project deliverables to advance design maturity, scheduling accuracy, and cost definition.  Qualifications and Experience   Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering 3+ years’ experience in energy projects and/or large-scale infrastructure projects, with wind installation experience beneficial Proven experience in package and/or project engineering for major equipment and/or EPC contracts Familiarity with wind turbine technology, installation and interfaces is beneficial Commercial understanding and exposure to contract management principles and standards Strong skills in technical evaluation, stakeholder coordination, and supplier management.  Our Commitment   Fortescue is deeply committed to providing a safe culture that builds respect, fosters inclusiveness, and values diversity.
