Responsibilities
As a Work Control/Test Engineer, you will typically be responsible for:
Assisting in formulating an integrated test schedule and reviews the preliminary work package and recommend additional tests or changes to test parameters to meet technical, operational and safety requirements
Plan and enact total Work Control and/or Test Program for ship assigned utilising the Ship's Work Package, Job Orders, Job Summaries, Task group Instructions and schedule
Prepare detailed test procedures based on NAVSEA derived specifications
Coordinate and direct all assigned HM&E; and Combat Systems testing and coordinates efforts of shops and ships force
Plan and develop ancillary schedules for hydrostatic, flush and operational testing, Operational Testing, and Sea Trials to test the full capability of the ship's systems (non-nuclear)
Eligibility Criteria
The successful applicant must possess:
Australian Citizenship
Bachelor of Engineering OR Suitable experience from a test and activation environment PLUS Cert III Trade qualification in Engineering
1-5 years' experience (desirable)
Experience within the defence industry or on submarines (desirable)
