Join us.   Position: Project Engineer   Location: Irvine, CA - Onsite Required   Position Description:   DZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Project Engineer capable of supporting both on-going and emerging federal defense and commercial contracts. Desired work location is Irvine, CA. This position requires experience in executing federal research and development (R&D) contract. This position requires a person that can both develop process and work within defined procedures, to include government requirements. The successful candidate must have experience interfacing with a wide range of internal disciplines, customers, and active subcontractors. Specific demonstrated experience in project financials tracking, data and hardware deliverable management, and subcontractor management is desired. The successful candidate will have a background with experience in projects in the Government or Defense Contracting Industry.    Required Skills and Responsibilities: * Primary Role: Work with existing program managers to aid in the successful execution of their respective programs * Project financials * Project & program deliverables * Team task and labor tracking and management * Communication of project health and status to both internal and external stakeholders * Positive, “can-do” attitude and talent/experience leading people and cultivating healthy relationships * Proven ability, capacity, and aptitude with planning, organizing, coordinating technical work, and obtaining cooperation from others * Ability to follow and help execute technical schedules * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Proficient organizational and documentation skills * Working knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Professional Suite Preferred Skills/Qualifications: * Experience working and supporting multiple teams * Pro-active approach to solving problems * Work under general direction in a fast-paced environment * Understand, follow, and build operational processes * Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and internal work groups Education/Experience: * Bachelor's degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and technicians in defense or aerospace industries * Minimum of 1 - 5 years of industry experience as directly supporting or leading project execution of design and development programs Clearance Level Required: No Security Clearance is required, but it is highly desired   Travel: Not required for daily activities, but probable travel once per quarter   Working Conditions * The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment or warehouse * Work performed may be in a harsh climate, and often hazardous situations. While performing the duties of this position, may regularly be exposed to an extreme and austere desert environment Physical Demands   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs. * Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine * Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work * May be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors Salary: $113,000- $120,000 annually   Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
