Position Overview The Project Engineer Intern will support technical tasks such as reviewing specifications, helping select equipment, and assisting with project activities from the time a purchase order is received through start-up and commissioning. Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Intern Hours TBD – PT Style) Location: Knoxville, TN | On-Site Pay Range: $21 - $25 per hour | Dependent on Experience Essential Duties: Aid in reviewing specifications to standard offering Aid in sizing equipment to specifications as needed, including but not limited to, Heat Exchangers, Water Pretreatment Equipment, Evaporator Systems, Reverse Osmosis (RO)Systems Aid in obtaining technical quotes for non-standard equipment/components Aid in developing Project P&ID Aid in performing calculations to meet code and regulations Aid in specifying non-standard valves and instruments Ability to lead a project team in a Matrix organization to include designers, drafter, technicians, and other engineers Aid in reviewing technical manuals for drawings and component literature Aid in developing test procedures from specifications and standard test procedures Assist performance testers in equipment set-up and testing Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
