How you’ll make an impact Understanding Customer Specifications, Preparation & Checking of Layout & Customer Drawings (Internal layout, Cleats and leads, Outside General Arrangement / List of Fittings / Foundation Details, fabrication drawings etc.) made in discussion with Customer with Design Finalization of HVDC Converter transformer and HVAC Power Transformers. 3D Modeling of Transformer with complete fittings and accessories in Pro-E Wildfire. Ensure timely delivery of design specifications and generate requirement in the ERP system. Visit to Customers place/Site for Design Approval & Clarifications. Actively Lead Design review meetings before finalizing detailed engineering solutions. Optimizing transformer designs based on tender commitments & technology requirements. Preparation of manufacturing drawings following with cable wiring, gasket hardware list and SAP entries within specified time. Preparing Manufacturing instructions, standard drawings & specifications. Coordination with Service Cell for Erection, Commissioning & other Site related Problems. Possessing knowledge of Indian and International Standards & Codes – DIN, ASME for Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Material Specification, Welding & Brazing Qualifications, Non-Destructive Testing. Proactively identify risks and mitigate in solution concept stage in consultation with Manager. Using latest technology and tools, optimize and adopt innovative design solutions employing best practices. Plan and monitor assigned projects consistently achieving related KPIs. Support services for Erection, Commissioning and site related technical matters. Possess knowledge of Indian and International Standards & Codes – IEC, IEEE, BIS, DIN, ISO for Mechanical design related aspects of Converter transformers, Power Transformer and shunt reactors. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your background B.E./B.Tech. /M.E./MTech. /M.S. – Mechanical 10-12 or more years of industry experience in Mechanical designing of Converter and Power Transformers and Shunt Reactors (preferably 220 kV to 765kV product range). Preferred to have knowledge and exposure to 2-D and 3-D CAD software packages like Creo or similar.
