Description
This is a remote position. This job post is open to Philippines residents only. Schedule: Full-time • 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday EST. (9:00pm - 5:30am Manila Time) • 30mins unpaid break Client Location/Timezone: United States, Eastern Timezone Client Overview: We currently work with commercial projects in USA. Our projects are typically renovation or ground up construction of offices, restaurants or warehouses. We use Bluebeam for takeoffs, MS Excel or Presto to develop the estimate and work to draft the final proposal. Our project manager is a certified PMP® project manager. I. Key Responsibilities: • Determine and write a scope statement from reviewing project scope from drawings, RFis, specs, scope letter, field take offs, addendums, and others. • Identify conflicts in the drawings and request information from owner/designer • Create request for proposal from subcontractors and select the trades • Request for proposal from subcontractors and follow up until received • Review proposals from subcontractors using planhub, pipeline suite and other platforms • Respond to request for clarification from subcontractors as they call • Request durations and Value Engineering options from subcontractors • Develop an initial schedule for the project • Develop project proposals • Price change orders when requested by PM or superintendent • Assist Project Manager in project management activities such as communicating with subcontractors, submitting RFIs, creating weekly reports, reviewing daily logs, others • Assist on the buyout process II. Communication responsibilities • General communication with subs and team • Email and call subcontractors for proposals and clarifications • Draft Requests for Information from Subcontractors or from plan review • Recompile cost lessons learned from project execution to fine tune pricing on future projects • Request information from owners, to clarify project details • Request information from architects and the design team • Respond to request from superintendents when they need pricing for a change order, or when prompt by the project manager • Review RFI’s responses. • Review project addendums III. Quality Assurance/Quality Control 1. Follow the QC/QA procedure for estimates 2. Quality control checklist. a. Help create checklist b. Use Checklist supplied by PM c. Suggest changes to checklist 3. Compare cost with proposal and make notes of deviations. 4. Suggest changes to the company’s Standard operating procedure (Submit process improvement change request.) 5. Follow the company standard operating procedure Requirements • Civil engineer, architect or similar degree • Experience: 3 years in an estimating position or in job execution • Proficient in using Bluebeam for takeoffs, MS Excel, or Presto to develop the estimate. • A PMP certification is a plus, but not required. • Perfect English written and spoken skills are a must - Great written and Oral English skills is a must. ​ Independent Contractor Perks: HMO Coverage for eligible locations Permanent work-from-home Immediate hiring Steady freelance job ZR_28839_JOB
