Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Finance Analyst to join our growing team in Madrid and play a key role in supporting the origination, structuring, and execution of project finance transactions across our renewable energy portfolio in Europe. The ideal candidate will have between one to two years of hands-on experience in project finance within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors, ideally gained at a bank, an infrastructure or energy company, or a debt advisory firm. A solid understanding of financial modelling, as well as direct involvement in negotiating term sheets and financing documentation with lenders or institutional investors, is essential. Experience working with technologies such as solar PV, battery storage, and wind is expected, along with familiarity with key project documents, including EPC/O&M contracts and PPA agreements. Knowledge of subsidy schemes or regulated market support mechanisms will be advantageous. Candidates must be fluent in English. Proficiency in other languages—such as Spanish, Italian, Polish, Romanian, or Hebrew—is a strong plus given the international scope of the role. Responsibilities Actively contribute to the identification of suitable lenders. Prepare investor materials such as teasers, information memorandums, and financial models. Coordinate the full due diligence process across legal, technical, insurance, and market disciplines. Work closely with internal and external advisors, as well as lenders, to ensure seamless execution of the financing process from term sheet to financial close. Work with complex Excel-based project finance models and demonstrate strong modelling capabilities. Support post-closing processes, including drawdowns during construction and ongoing covenant compliance during operations. Coordinate internal approvals. Manage KYC processes. Compile conditions precedent. Requirements Experience working in a project finance team. Experience working on and negotiating complex PF legal documentation. Strong credit and financial analysis skills: Understanding and ability to work on complex financial models. Demonstrable high levels of attention to detail, numeracy and accuracy. Experience managing complex DD process with several internal and external advisors. Strong writing and presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across different audiences. Evidence of relevant deal execution experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider multicultural team.
Responsibilities
