Job Description: Ninyo and Moore has an immediate opening in Salt Lake City, Utah for a Project Geotechnical Engineer to manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including meeting and interacting with the client, and managing budgets. The Project Engineer will coordinate and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores; evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards; forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes; perform liquefaction, slope stability, and settlement analyses; and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Duties of the Project Engineer will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians. Education: B.S./B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related), M.S. preferred. Required Skills: The successful candidate should be a licensed professional engineer with 4+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting. The ideal candidate should bring local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practice. Candidate should be a team player, be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Experience with construction and grading activities is strongly desired. Status: Full-time, in office Location: North Salt Lake, UT
