NATURE OF WORK

The Project & Grant Reporting Specialist is responsible for supporting ALSC’s projects and grant-funded initiatives by ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting. This role plays a critical part in tracking performance metrics, preparing compliance reports, and providing actionable insights to inform decision-making. The Specialist works closely with the Project Manager to ensure that all grant deliverables are met, while also contributing to organizational planning, impact measurement, and continuous improvement.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and case management systems (e.g., LegalServer) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and compelling reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and extract actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of grant compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling business challenges that may require programming skills.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques for data analysis is a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, or
  • Equivalent training, certifications, and experience.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in grant management, data analysis, program evaluation, or project coordination (nonprofit or legal aid experience a plus).

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Project Manager in measuring and achieving all grant KPIs.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze program and client data for accurate reporting.
  • Help prepare and submit required narrative, financial, and performance reports on time.
  • Track grant deliverables, deadlines, and outcomes.
  • Maintain dashboards and performance tools (e.g., Power BI, LegalServer Case Management System) to measure results.
  • Support grant applications by compiling data and drafting proposal sections.
  • Research trends, community needs, and outcomes to improve reporting and proposals.
  • Check data regularly to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Contribute to projects that improve efficiency, tracking, and compliance.
  • Assist with creating policies, procedures, and reporting tools for stronger grant management.
  • Use data tools to analyze markets, client behavior, and service performance.
  • Gather and verify data from both internal and external sources.
  • Assist in developing strategic plans for growth, new services, and partnerships.
  • Analyze client needs, case metrics, and revenue to spot areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations with findings and recommendations.

  • Conduct research on trends, community needs, and outcomes to strengthen reporting and grant applications.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through routine quality checks and audits.
  • Support cross-functional projects that improve organizational efficiency, project tracking, and compliance management.
  • Assist with developing policies, procedures, and reporting tools that strengthen ALSC’s grant and project management capacity.
  • Assist in fundraising and development activities.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze market dynamics, customer behavior, and service performance.
  • Collect and compile data from internal and external sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in developing strategic plans to drive business growth, including market penetration strategies, product development initiatives, and partnership opportunities.
  • Analyze client needs, case metrics, and revenue projections to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management and stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
