Due to MSG’s continued growth, a new opening is available for a Lead Civil Engineer to assist with our projects in Monroe, MI!

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
  • Must have strong communication skills and proficiency at working in a vibrant and multi-faceted team environment.
  • Extensive Knowledge and project experience with of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Detailed plan preparation including storm water modeling (detention, closed and open drainage systems, best management practices, etc), utility routing (gas, water, electric and other), earthworks modeling, calculation verification, pavement design
  • Project permitting including applications for drainage, soil erosion, water line, right-of-way work, etc. to local municipalities and state and federal agencies
  • PE license, or demonstrated ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date, required.

Responsibilities
  • Work in conjunction with other licensed engineers assisting with the design and preparation of a variety of commercial, industrial, energy, water/waste water and community projects throughout the Midwest.
  • Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of services sectors including: Surveying, Geotechnical, Environmental, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, Site Construction Services, etc.
  • Perform and check various design calculations and performing various tasks as they relate to preparing a design package.
  • Preparing front end feasibility documents, due diligence reports and zoning studies, project development cost estimates and detailed design plans.
