Position Overview
The Project Lead – Corporate Services, works collaboratively with the Manager of Innovation and Digital Transformation, Manager of Information and Communication Technology, and Project Lead – Infrastructure & Security as a contributing member of the ITS Leadership Team, supporting the strategic and operational plan, leading IT projects and overseeing professional learning for IT and other LDSB staff to support technology use in schools and departments across the system. Under the leadership of the Manager of IDT, the Project Lead – Corporate Services is responsible for all aspects of the Student Information System, Enterprise Resource Planning system, along with custom developed solutions with an emphasis on the development, implementation, and review of processes to ensure data integrity, operational efficiency, as well as the development, implementation and review of a training and monitoring plan for users.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor of Computer Science or an equivalent level of education/training and at least 5 years of relevant, related experience in the IT industry
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Project management experience and leading projects in an IT Organization considered an asset
  • Project management certification is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated skills and experience leading complex change across organization(s)
  • Experience maintaining applications/digital technologies
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Exceptional customer service, and continuous improvement orientation
  • Strong orientation towards quality control, security and system availability
  • Ability to travel across the District to visit all LDSB sites, and attend meetings off-site, as required
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as necessary, to support IT initiatives and/or respond to critical incidents
