Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.com Job Description Project Lead - CSA is a senior PMC representative responsible for leading and overseeing all civil, structural, and external infrastructure works across a data centre campus. The role ensures that civil works are delivered in alignment with data centre design standards, programme milestones, commissioning readiness, and client operational requirements. This position plays a critical role in managing interfaces between civil, MEP, and commissioning teams to support phased handovers, energisation, and operational go-live timelines. Key Responsibilities Data Centre Civil & Infrastructure Oversight Provide end-to-end oversight of all civil and structural works, including: Earthworks, piling, foundations, and substructure Superstructure (RCC, steel, precast systems) External works, roads, drainage, utilities, and duct banks Underground services supporting MEP and ICT systems Ensure civil works comply with data centre performance requirements, including vibration control, floor flatness, load capacity, and future expansion provisions. Review and monitor constructability to support early MEP access, equipment installation, and commissioning sequencing. Interface & Programme Management Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all civil-related matters on the data centre campus. Manage critical interfaces between: Civil & structural works MEP installation and plant areas Testing, commissioning, and phased handover activities Review contractor programmes and ensure alignment with data centre milestone-driven schedules (e.g. Ready-for-Equipment, Ready-for-Power, Ready-for-Commissioning). Proactively identify and mitigate risks that may impact commissioning or client go-live dates. Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure all works comply with approved designs, specifications, and international data centre standards. Review and oversee method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality documentation. Ensure strict adherence to safety, statutory, and environmental requirements in a high-risk, MEP-intensive environment. Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews by client and authorities. Contract & Commercial Oversight (PMC Role) Review contractor submissions including BOQs, variations, EOTs, and claims related to civil works. Support value engineering initiatives while ensuring no compromise to data centre reliability, redundancy, or performance criteria. Provide technical and commercial recommendations to the client in accordance with PMC governance frameworks. Reporting & Stakeholder Management Prepare and present weekly and monthly PMC reports covering progress, risks, interfaces, and mitigation measures. Maintain strong working relationships with: Client representatives Design consultants Main contractors and trade partners Support client decision-making through clear, concise, and technically sound reporting. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Professional registration (Ir., PE, or equivalent) is preferred. Project or construction management certifications (PMP, CCM, etc.) are an advantage. Minimum 15 years of experience in civil and infrastructure construction. Proven experience delivering data centre projects, preferably at campus or hyperscale level. Strong track record in managing multiple contractors and work packages in live environments.
