Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Abbott’s Diabetes Care team have an exciting opportunity for a Project Lead in the Manufacturing Analytics and Support Team within Operations at our Centre of Excellence Manufacturing Site in Witney, Oxfordshire.
Day to day activities are very varied, and this role will suit someone who has good time management skills and enjoys both teamwork and working individually. Typical activities include analysing and interpreting manufacturing data, supporting continuous improvement projects, investigating process variables and their impact to metric performance (process yields and efficiencies), and discussing findings with the team and key stakeholders. This is a great opportunity to work side by side with the manufacturing process and the Leadership Team. Due to the nature of the work carried out within the role, this position is based on site.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful, you will bring experience from a technical, scientific and/or project based role. A strong focus on manufacturing environments is essential, particularly in tracking and analysing production data to drive performance improvements.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making. Experience in process improvement, manufacturing, or a scientific setting is required. Familiarity with regulated environments is desirable but not essential.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and well-organised individual who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should be comfortable working within a small team while also engaging across the wider business, leading and influencing where necessary. Strong communication and time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and act on manufacturing metrics are key.
This role would suit someone with a keen interest in real-life data analysis, process optimisation and operational excellence, particularly in the context of manufacturing and process development.
