Start here. Grow here. Job Description We're looking for an experienced and decisive Project Management Lead to join our organization in Bucharest, Romania. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects while leading cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, and resource requirements Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability across all project phases Monitor project progress against established milestones and key performance indicators, making data-driven adjustments as needed Manage project budgets and costs, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial accountability Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans to minimize impact Communicate project status, challenges, and outcomes to stakeholders at all organizational levels Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment and successful project delivery Implement and maintain project documentation, ensuring compliance with organizational standards Facilitate meetings, including kickoffs, status updates, and retrospectives, to drive team engagement and continuous improvement Analyze project performance data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization Manage scope changes and ensure proper change control procedures are followed Mentor junior project team members and contribute to the development of project management best practices Qualifications 5+ years of professional project management experience, preferably in a leadership capacity Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities Strong proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms) Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities Experience with budget management and cost control Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a matrix organizational structure Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile/Scrum certification Preferred: Experience with change management initiatives Preferred: Background in a specific industry relevant to the organization's sector Additional Information At AECOM, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity Our Freedom to Grow hybrid working philosophy is the cornerstone of our success as a business – supporting a culture of flexibility, trust and performance at AECOM. #LI-IP1 At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
