Job Description:
• Manage the Camphill programme and emerging highway schemes to ensure their overall success; using effective project management, ensure that they are delivered to agreed objectives, timescales, quality standards and performance targets. Where necessary manage the dependencies and interfaces between projects and programmes. • Plan, co-ordinate and manage procurement and commissioning to establish design teams and appoint contractors as necessary • Ensure that all stakeholders are identified and managed effectively, ensuring that there is regular engagement with them. Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement/consultation sessions potentially to include public meetings and drop-in information sessions • Working effectively in partnership with the Service Provider – Island Roads – communities, partners, and other identified key stakeholders to ensure compliance with best professional standards, agreed timescales and delivery to agreed outcomes. • Work with project partners, to proactively identify, manage and mitigate both internal and external risks; provide risk reports and updates on emerging risks to senior management with proposed mitigations. • Ensure effective business continuity arrangements and succession plans are in place and respond quickly to emerging resourcing issues. • Work with the design teams and contractors as appropriate to support and challenge proposed solutions to construction issues during delivery. Undertake checks on designs, specifications, and contract documentation, produced by contractors, prior to construction of works. • Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of key project milestones for all projects providing regular progress updates to the Strategic Manager and recommendations where there are known changes to project delivery.
