ABOUT Det'on Cho Career Development Initiative is a program exclusively for Yellowknives Dene First Nation (YKDFN) members who want to gain skills to be eligible for appointment to management positions at the Det'on Cho group of companies upon completion of the Program. Det'on Cho is creating opportunities for YKDFN members to gain academic knowledge and work experience in various business operational settings, allowing them to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to lead businesses. JOB OVERVIEW Reporting to Construction Management, the Project Management Trainee supports the construction division by coordinating people and processes to ensure that our projects are on time to deliver and produce the desired results.  WHAT YOU WILL DO * Assist with coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. * Ensure the timelines of all projects are deliverables that are within scope and budget. * Contribute to developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders. * Develop a detailed project plan to track progress. * Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. * Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques. * Report and escalate to management as needed. * Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders. * Perform risk management to minimize project risks. * Assist management with creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. * Perform other duties as assigned.
