As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects that support 365 Retail Markets’ business objectives. This role requires strong project management capabilities alongside foundational IT hardware and networking skills to effectively manage deployments of our smart retail technology. Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with stakeholder requirements. Develop timelines, schedules, and task assignments. Monitor progress to ensure timely delivery within budget and scope. Apply lean principles and PM methodologies for efficient execution. Hardware & Software Coordination Coordinate tasks across engineering, hardware, and software teams. Support hardware configuration, testing, and deployment activities. Validate readiness of network, cabling, and supporting infrastructure. Assist with vendor management to ensure quality and timelines. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product managers, Development & Quality engineers, Sales, and Operations teams. Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure requirements like PCI, SOC2, GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA are met. Facilitate communication across all stakeholders and maintain alignment on priorities. Performance Tracking & Reporting Track milestones, deliverables, and KPIs. Provide updates to internal and external stakeholders. Identify risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategies. Process Improvement Recommend ways to streamline workflows. Capture lessons learned and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Delivery Coordination Coordinate software releases with engineering and DevOps. Write or update user guides related to new hardware or features. Support pilot deployments and track issues through resolution. Requirements 3–4 years of project management experience in technology or product development. Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365. Experience with Jira Dashboards and Jira Plans. Communication, collaboration, organization, problem-solving, and adaptability. Initiative, customer focus, resilience, growth mindset. Experience coordinating hardware or mixed hardware/software deployments is strongly preferred. Foundational understanding of networking, cabling, routers, and device connectivity. Experience with POS systems, payment devices, or PCI-related environments is highly desirable. Understanding operating systems (Linux, Windows, Android, iOS). PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CSP, PSM, ITIL, or related certifications are strongly preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Because this role supports the deployment of hardware-enabled solutions in the field, the ideal candidate must bring practical understanding of how retail and IoT devices physically operate. Key requirements include: Hardware Proficiency Familiarity with POS terminals, kiosks, vending controllers, smart coolers, and peripheral devices (scanners, payment readers, sensors). Ability to read and understand basic wiring/cabling diagrams, device layouts, and power requirements. Understanding how hardware components integrate with software and cloud-based services. Networking Knowledge Working knowledge of LAN/WAN basics, including IP addressing, DHCP, static IP configuration, and device connectivity. Understanding Wi-Fi setup, router configuration, access points, and firewalls at a foundational level. Ability to support teams during troubleshooting of device connectivity (e.g., kiosk offline, cooler not reporting, POS network drop). Field Deployment Understanding Awareness of on-site installation workflows, including mounting hardware, connecting cables, verifying network stability, and coordinating installers or vendors. Ability to translate technical networking/hardware requirements into clear instructions for customers, operations teams, and installers. Technical Comfort Level Comfortable engaging with hardware engineering teams and asking clarifying technical questions. Ability to identify hardware-related risks early (e.g., power constraints, networking environment mismatches). Strong troubleshooting mindset and willingness to dive into first-level diagnostics before escalating.
