Job Details Job Location: Wentzville City Hall - Wentzville, MO 63385 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree/Bachelors Salary Range: $73,524.00 - $86,128.00 Salary/year Job Shift: Day Job Category: Construction The Project Manager's typical duties include overseeing city projects and private developments to ensure that established specifications, as well as relevant city, state, and county regulations, are met. Under general direction, is responsible for specialized work of considerable difficulty requiring a high degree of independent judgment and expertise. Essential Job Duties Provide respectful, professional, positive service in all interactions between co-workers, internal external customers, community members, and the public at large. Maintain a positive and productive environment ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, goals and objectives of the City, Department and Division. Administer construction and design contracts in order to ensure compliance with contract terms, city standards, and county and state requirements. Develop standardized specifications and contract documents for projects and services. Coordinate the application of city standards and inspection of infrastructure projects. Participate in the selection of professional services consultants for contracts on capital improvement projects. Assess infrastructure conditions and needs and make recommendations for improvements. Act as city liaison and construction inspector for capital improvement projects and/or private development. Prepare documents, including as-built reports, easements, affidavits, maintenance agreements, and cost estimates. Participate in and negotiate for easement and ROW acquisition. Make modifications to processes to enhance departmental performance. Provide constructive performance feedback on other staff members and the team’s work as required. Serve as a role model, providing guidance and training to other team members as appropriate. Perform the job safely and in compliance with safety policies and procedures. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements and/or substitutions may be requested and require the approval of HR. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required. Additional job experience in the field may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of two years of experience in Civil Engineering, Public Works, Construction, or similar work environment required. Additional job-related advanced degrees or certifications may be considered in lieu of experience. Valid driver’s license required.
