JOB POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish. The Project Manager will cooperate with customers, project crews, and subcontractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will ideally have a strong background in construction project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders.

- In-depth knowledge of the life cycle of construction projects
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry methods, practices, and standards
- In-depth knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial management principles
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws and public works labor laws
- Knowledge of governmental laws, regulations, and codes regarding occupational safety and
- health, building standards, and environmental standards
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
- Computer literate
- High proficiency in office suite software, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database front-end applications
- Proficiency in ERP ("enterprise resource planning") software
- High proficiency in project management software
- Ability to manage a crew of at least 10 individuals
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to clearly, confidently, and convincingly present analyses, reports, and recommendations to management
- Ability to work well with others
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
An individual must have achieved at least one of the following sets of requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of work experience in a related occupation
- Associate’s degree in a related field and at least 4 years of work experience in a related occupation
An individual with any of the following education or experience is preferred:
- Certification from PMI ("Project Management Institute, Inc.")
- CAPM ("Certified Associate in Project Management")
- PMP ("Project Management Professional")
- Certification from OSHA ("Occupational Safety and Health Administration")
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Seeing: Must be able to read various documents and computer terminals
- Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to effectively communicate with others
- Stand/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk occasionally
- Sitting: Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Other Movements: Must be able to operate tools, machinery, and equipment as they relate to the job position
