We’re seeking a Project Manager to support the successful delivery of infrastructure and capital improvement projects. Reporting to the Senior Capital Projects Manager, you’ll be the engine behind our project planning, execution, and reporting—ensuring everything runs smoothly on time, and on budget.
ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation (ʔAFN) is a member Community of the Ktunaxa Nation. ʔAFN exists for the Community. Externally, we are here to serve the Community, and internally, we are our own Community, comprised of different departments unified by our Vision, Mission, and Values. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Planning, Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or Technologist, architecture, construction management, etc. or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project management roles within capital projects or infrastructure development.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of public procurement processes, budgeting, and contract administration is an asset.
  • Cultural awareness and a respectful understanding of Indigenous communities, values, and protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build trust and maintain relationships across diverse groups.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • A collaborative spirit and proactive approach to problem-solving, negotiation, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

ACCOUNTABILITY & REPORTING

  • Report regularly to the Senior Capital Projects Manager on project progress, issues, and resource needs.
  • Provide data and analysis to support decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Ensure adherence to ISC infrastructure funding processes and assist in the preparation of funding applications, claims, and compliance reports.
  • Uphold organizational policies, health and safety standards, and best practices in project delivery.
    Other duties as required.
