Description

Main Purpose: The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific project ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Key Responsibilities: Manage on-site activities to monitor the progress of construction. Maintain and document project completion by evaluating all inspections of work performed to ensure every phase is inspected every day for quality of work and daily scheduled requirements. Develop schedules and maintain targeted completion dates. Ensure the timely and costly completion of construction project by overseeing all phases of the project. Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines. Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes. Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements. Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance. Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met. Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports to Head of Projects. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues. Assist in the hiring of competent field staff to ensure adequate resources are in place for effective and timely execution of projects. Lead the planning and implementation of project. Manage project budget. Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected. Delegate work effectively among employees. Ensure that all the site team is executing according to the approved drawings and materials. Responsible for team and individual performance and improvement plans. Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables. Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan. Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering "Civil ". Minimum of 20 years of relevant working experience. Competent user of AutoCAD & Primavera. Experienced in the successful delivery of Grade A construction projects. Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results. Innovative and self-directed. Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion. Ability to work and perform under pressure. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and other team members. Organized, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence. Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines. Proven success working with all levels of management. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
