JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Design and Development Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of product development, from concept to launch, in a fast-paced multi-project environment. The Project Manager will support the Design and Development department through planning, organizing, monitoring and managing the completion of all product development and their launches.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects throughout the full life cycle and deliver successful product launches on time and within budget.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, time management and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work both independently as well as with multiple team members across various departments.
  • The ability to foster teamwork by working cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions.
  • An unparalleled attention to detail.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Design, Business or other related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (completed or in progress).
  • Minimum seven years of Project Management experience.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office setting, Workshop setting, Manufacturing facility setting.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple product launches per year, following Allseating’s ISO Certified and controlled Product Development Process, including and not limited to:

  • Ensuring all project management files and ISO controlled forms are maintained and accurate, including all status meeting and design review notes.
  • Preparing necessary paperwork and documentation for various departments as required (i.e.: Purchasing, Marketing, Production, Order Entry, Accounting, etc.).
  • Identifying, scheduling, and tracking project information with great detail (i.e.: deliverables, milestones, tasks and issues).
  • Ensuring regular communication with interested parties regarding the progress and milestones of current projects.
  • Managing project budgets.
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Preparing and managing all Bill of Materials, ensuring product target price is maintained.
  • Collaborating with Designers, Engineers, and Quality to ensure drawings and other product related documents are correct, completed and filed.
  • Ensuring purchasing and vendor selection activities have occurred and parts purchasing has transitioned to Allseating’s purchasing team.
  • Securing formal sign-off on upcoming product introductions and ensuring all departments have sufficient time and information to prepare for new product launches.
  • Ensuring Marketing activities are closely coordinated with product launches.
  • Collaborating with Production to ensure training and transition tasks are planned and completed to meet new product introduction schedules.
  • Supporting Quality and Design and Development through active participation in annual ISO audits.
  • Managing new product related expectations as it relates to yearly tradeshows.
  • Ensuring Patents and Trademarks are filed effectively and maintained.
  • Participating in planning of future development.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Other duties as required.
