Description
Some construction firms build projects. The best ones build lasting relationships — with clients, with communities, and with the people they hire. Our client is a well-established general contractor with deep roots across Arkansas and Oklahoma, known for taking on commercial, industrial, and institutional work and delivering it with the kind of honesty and quality that keeps clients coming back. They operate with a full-service model — from pre-construction through closeout — and they're looking for a Project Manager who wants to own their work from start to finish, not just manage a slice of it. If you're the type who wants a seat at the table from estimate to final punchlist, this is that job. What You'll Own Lead 3–4 active commercial construction projects simultaneously, ranging from $2M to $10M in value, across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors Develop detailed project estimates from takeoff through final pricing — you're not handing this off to an estimating department Draft, negotiate, and execute project contracts, subcontractor agreements, and change orders Build and maintain project schedules, holding subs and internal teams accountable to milestones Serve as the primary client-facing representative throughout the project lifecycle — setting expectations, communicating progress, and resolving issues before they become problems Coordinate subcontractor selection, bid leveling, and day-to-day subcontractor management Monitor budgets, track costs, and protect margins without sacrificing quality or relationships Manage pre-construction consulting, design-build coordination, and post-construction support as needed by project type 5+ years of project management experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional construction — OR a construction-related degree with demonstrated hands-on PM experience The ability and confidence to estimate your own work — this role combines estimating and project management, and you're comfortable owning both Solid understanding of construction contracts, subcontractor agreements, scheduling methodologies, and change order processes A track record of delivering multi-million dollar projects on time and on budget Strong communication skills — you're as effective in a client meeting as you are on a jobsite A detail orientation that doesn't slow you down — you catch the things others miss without creating bottlenecks PMP, CCM, or other relevant certifications are a plus, but not required Willingness to work in-office and be present in the field; relocation candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply Base salary: $75,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience Full-time, in-office position with regular field presence across the Western Arkansas / Eastern Oklahoma region The chance to work across a diverse portfolio — commercial, industrial, institutional, design-build, and renovation — without getting siloed into one project type A stable, well-respected organization with over a decade of sustained growth and a client base that returns by choice A role with genuine scope of authority — you're not waiting on approvals to make the right call
