Description
We are looking for a Project Manager to independently oversee commercial construction projects in the Richmond, Virginia area. This role requires a self-sufficient professional who can manage projects from pre-construction through completion with minimal oversight. The position is best suited for someone with a general contractor background who is comfortable coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. Responsibilities • Manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction planning through final completion • Independently oversee project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate project execution • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain project progress and quality • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle • Monitor project costs, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain profitability • Communicate with clients, field leadership, and internal stakeholders regarding project status • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards • Support procurement, scheduling, and coordination of materials and subcontractor services • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects • Prior experience working for a general contractor required • Ability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents • Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, and project budgets • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills • Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software Compensation based on experience.
