Description
We are seeking a Project Manager & Estimator to lead commercial construction projects from bid through completion. This hands-on dual role is ideal for a professional who can accurately price work and then execute projects efficiently, with a focus on drywall, metal stud framing, and acoustical ceiling systems in interior commercial builds. Key Responsibilities Estimating Analyze drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to prepare accurate takeoffs and cost proposals Prepare and submit bids, budgets, change orders, and value-engineering alternatives Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain material pricing and quotes Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site assessments as needed Maintain historical cost data and support subcontractor/vendor relationship development Project Management Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring on-time, within-budget completion Schedule field crews and oversee job site logistics, material procurement, and subcontractor coordination Lead weekly progress meetings with clients and internal teams Track daily field reports, job costs, productivity, and safety compliance Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders Provide leadership with updated forecasts, progress tracking, and billing timelines 3–5+ years of combined experience in estimating and project management Experience in commercial interiors: drywall, framing, acoustical ceilings, or similar scopes Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and submittals Proven ability to manage multiple bids and active projects simultaneously Proficiency with takeoff/estimating tools (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with field teams Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, not required
