We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Manager to join us in our Infrastructure Delivery team in Brisbane or Melbourne on a full-time basis and plays a critical part in delivering APA’s major infrastructure and capital works projects. Reporting to the Head of Construction Gas, you will play a key role in delivering major pipeline and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with business objectives. In this role, you will lead end-to-end project delivery, managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk while coordinating contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve successful outcomes. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders and regulators, provide clear reporting and insights to leadership, and drive a high-performance, safety-focused culture across all project activities. Key Responsibilities Lead the successful delivery of major pipeline and infrastructure construction projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives Manage all aspects of project delivery including scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality Promote and embed a strong health, safety, and environmental culture, ensuring a focus on zero harm Oversee and coordinate contractors, suppliers, and project teams to deliver on project milestones and performance targets Provide timely, accurate reporting and insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders Develop and maintain effective stakeholder and community relationships, ensuring compliance with regulatory and approval requirements Your background Demonstrated capability in delivering linear infrastructure or pipeline construction projects from concept through to completion Demonstrated capability in managing large construction contracts, ideally collaborative style contracts such as NEC4 Option C. Demonstated understanding of project approval pathways and working with teams who manage access and approvals. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage project risks, control costs, and deliver value-driven outcomes Proven leadership skills, with experience guiding multidisciplinary teams and driving high-performance cultures Highly developed stakeholder management capability, including engagement with contractors, regulators, and senior leadership Advanced skills in project planning, scheduling, and risk management within dynamic and complex delivery environments Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders About the Team Infrastructure Delivery (ID) supports APA’s growth by securing approvals and delivering the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of major infrastructure projects. Part of ID, the Project Delivery team leads the safe and efficient delivery of APA’s capital growth projects, from development to operational integration, working closely with Energy Solutions and Operations to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to APA’s safety and quality standards. This includes covering constructability, project management and delivery, contractor oversight, commissioning, safety, risk, and assurance. This is an exciting time for the Project Delivery team, with the recent announcement of Stage 3 of APA’s East Coast Gas Grid (ECGG) Expansion Plan, which is expected to add approximately 30% additional transport capacity and address projected southern market gas shortfalls from 2028. The Project Delivery team will play an integral role in the successful delivery of ECGG projects to increase north to south capacity, which will be essentially for supplying gas to southern markets.
